I've read and enjoyed this non-fiction book (a memoir). I've heard the author speak about it and would be glad to share. It's kind of a "guy" book -- my husband and his not-much-for-reading-books guy friends loved it. It was on the LHS summer reading list for freshmen a few years ago. It's about 2 teenage brothers of very different temperaments who took a beat-up old 2-seat airplane, rebuilt it in their barn over the winter, and flew it coast-to-coast in 1960 (record setting: youngest to ever do it). Their different character strengths come out as they face adversities during their multi-day trip: flying each day and then having adventures each night on the ground. The title is appropriate: it's a rite of passage book and a sibling bonding story. Sue
